November program topic was all about Leadership. A BIG thank you to Brandon Browne, Mind & Body Christian Health Group for being our guest speaker this month. Brandon is also currently serving as Second Lieutenant in the Georgia State Guard. He talked with the students about how his military experience has help develop his leadership style. He lead the group ice breaker game in the beginning with his version of "Simon Says" and taught the boys Drill & Ceremony Knockout Drill. It really taught them to listen and follow orders. These students learned the best way to lead is to Lead First and Eat Second. After Brandon's presentation we paired the mentors and mentees in groups and assigned them role-play scenarios. We wanted them to demonstrate what they learned about leadership styles. They presented their skits to the rest of the students. They really got a lot out of this meeting. They shared their reflections and sent them on their way to practice what they have learned.
